And so I tried to make a door mat with the laminator sheets. My first attempt at cutting didn't go too well, the second time I cut with vinyl setting, cut twice (with blue mat).
The area where I stuck together with tape melted after I ironed on it so I had to retaped and also pinned on. Lesson learnt: Do not create difficult patterns where both laminate sheets connect.
The sides were Kmart craft paper ironed on. I ironed on (Easypress2) 180 c for 20 seconds and it stuck quite well.
I did two coats of black as per instructions on the can.
Additional info: laminating sheets have one side sticky when heat-activated, the sticky side should be on the mat so it will stick when iron-on. Do not laminate the sheets.
